Public Showers in Gold Coast
Whether you’ve been chasing the swell at Surfers Paradise or sunning yourself at Mermaid Beach, the Gold Coast is one place where you’ll be glad to have a public shower nearby to rinse off the salt, sweat and sand.
When you need to freshen up on the fly, your best bet is to stick to the coast. The Gold Coast beaches often have Surf Clubs with shower facilities, and you’ll be surprised by how many showers you’ll find close to parking and public toilet blocks – just be aware they’re usually cold and out in the open.
The most central option is Eileen Peters Park which has a cold public shower, otherwise you can check out Kurrawa Surf Club, Miami Surf Life Saving Club, John Laws Park and Burleigh Ridge public park to the south. Further north there’s public showers at Main Beach, Hollindale Park, and the Spit. If you’re after a hot shower and a bit of a lather, check out the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre at Southport where you can steam up the place for the princely sum of $2.90.
